That should have been the title of CNN's year long research and documentary that aired the first half(2hrs) last night. I for one was very disappointed! The entire first half spoke nothing of the real perils that face our world and based on the dozens of people I spoke with today none of whom learned anything new or frightening enough to motivate change! The show highlighted a couple of endangered species and what is causing there risk of extinction. They spent too much time and film on following police on a suspected animal trafficking bust, film riding in trucks, erecting ladders, erroneous people at the markets etc etc.. there are enough "perils" facing our existence that you could do nothing but list them and cover 4 hrs! They have fumbled the ball in the first half, hopefully tonight they will restore my confidence in their ability and persuade me that they are not doing what our Gov. has been knowingly doing. Trying to paint a prettier picture than what is(if you want some proof ck out my post in "Illumination" see no speak no hear no..)Also today, the directer of the CDC(center for disease control) gave testimony on the very issues of censorship of info regarding climate change important to the public!"Censorship is the weapon politicians use to destroy their enemies" JFK.This is a Halloween time documentary its reality is scarier than the Exorcist, but we've only been shown a cartoon of Casper!!!!!! OCT 24 The program tonight was markedly better but still could have covered more of the widespread effects and actually gone into more depth regarding population growth and control. Over all I give it C+ and that's being generous.
